Exploratory Encounters
Introducing a new series of workshops exploring the encounter between patient and therapist
Starting January 2026
Exploratory Encounters
Introducing a new series of ten monthly Saturday Workshops starting in January 2026
When somebody contacts another in search of help, all sorts of feelings will be stirred in both parties. Some of these feelings can be painful, distressing and hard to bear. They might seem to get in the way of the task of helping or being helped.
In these workshops, we look forward to working with therapists, counsellors and others who are interested in exploring how psychoanalytic thinking can help make sense of these experiences so that they can be used in the service of gaining insight and awareness.
These workshops can be attended as stand-alone events, or you can join the entire course.
Delivery: the workshops will all be held at 11 Orchard Street in central Bristol.
PLEASE NOTE: ANY APPLICATIONS RECEIVED BETWEEN 20TH DECEMBER AND 4TH JANUARY WILL BE PROECSSED ON 5TH JAN IN TIME TO ATTEND THE FIRST WORKSHOP
Cost: Whole day workshops £90, half day £60. Trainees/students £60 whole day, £40 half day
Find out more: If you want to speak to someone to find out if these workshops will be suitable for you please email admissions@sipsychotherapy.org or phone 0117 927 3898
