What is psychotherapy?
Psychoanalytic or psychodynamic therapies offer an intensely personal and emotional experience which can change lives, often in a profound way. We can help you find out what therapy is like, who it can help, and guide you through the process. For a fuller explanation try this page from the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) … What is Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy?

How can I find a psychotherapist?
SIP has many members in Bristol and Bath and some therapists in the adjoining counties. For more information please see the ‘Find a therapist‘ page.
Depending on availability, we may be able to offer psychotherapy at a reduced fee with a psychotherapist in training. To find out more see the ‘Training Patient Scheme‘ page.
What if I have a complaint?
SIP psychotherapists are bound by the Code of Ethics of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). If you believe that an SIP psychotherapist has broken this Code of Ethics, you can make a complaint through the BPC. Visit the ‘Complaints‘ page of the BPC website for more information.
